Mr. Koutrakos was graduated magna cum laude from the University of South Carolina in 1993 with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science where he was inducted into Phi Beta Kappa. He earned a Juris Doctor from the University of South Carolina School of Law in 1996, where he was Associate Student Works Editor of the South Carolina Law Review and was inducted into the Order of Wig and Robe.

Mr. Koutrakos was admitted to the South Carolina Bar in 1996. After serving as law clerk to the Honorable C. Tolbert Goolsby, Jr. of the South Carolina Court of Appeals for one year, Mr. Koutrakos joined the firm in 1997. He became a partner in 2002.

Mr. Koutrakos concentrates his practice in the area of civil litigation, with an emphasis on business, commercial, real estate, and title insurance claims litigation.
