Ian Douglas McVey Columbia, South Carolina
Mr. McVey graduated from the University of the South where he received a B.A. in History and was a member of the Order of the Gownsmen and Phi Delta Theta. Mr. McVey attended St. John's College at Oxford University, Oxford, U.K. and earned a Juris Doctor from the University of South Carolina School of Law where he was a member of Phi Delta Phi. Mr. McVey was admitted to the South Carolina Bar in 2004 and is admitted to practice in all State and Federal Courts for the State of South Carolina. He was a law clerk for the Honorable John C. Hayes, IV, Resident Judge for the 16th Judicial Court. Prior to joining the firm, Mr. McVey practiced in the areas of mortgage foreclosures, real estate, and litigation. Mr. McVey is a member of the South Carolina Bar (Young Lawyers Division, Co-Chair, Membership Committee; Real Estate Practices Section), Richland County Bar Association (Co-Chair, Young Lawyers Division). Mr. McVey concentrates his practice in the area of litigation, including title insurance, real property, business, and construction. He also practices in the areas of residential and commercial mortgage foreclosures.
