Mr. Tighe, managing partner of the Firm, was admitted to the South Carolina Bar in 1964.  He is also admitted to practice before the Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals.  Mr. Tighe is a magna cum laude graduate of the University of South Carolina and a magna cum laude graduate of its Law School.  He was Editor-in-Chief of the South Carolina Law Review, and Chief Justice of the Order of Wig and Robe.  Mr. Tighe is a certified circuit court mediator and certified circuit court arbitrator.

Prior to entering private practice in 1971, Mr. Tighe was Law Clerk to Chief Judge Clement F. Haynsworth, Jr., of the Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals.  He served four years on active duty in the Judge Advocate General's Corps, United States Air Force, and was Assistant Attorney General for the State of South Carolina for two years.  Mr. Tighe has represented clients in many large commercial real estate transactions and various types of litigation, concentrating his litigation practice in matters relating to real estate and title insurance defense.  Mr. Tighe is a frequent speaker on these topics to members of the bar, the judiciary and industry groups.
